The team at the Mawlawi Dental Center possesses the skills and tools to ensure that the early signs and symptoms of oral cancer and other pre-cancerous conditions are readily/rapidly identified, we take the time to screen each patient by carefully examining the mouth, throat, tongue, and neck. We immediately address concerns (such as unusual lesions) by referring our patients to the appropriate cancer specialist for further diagnosis or treatment. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4,400 Canadians were diagnosed with oral cancer last year. Oral cancers affect the skin inside the mouth, the tongue, cheeks and mouth muscles.
